- That goes for almost ALL of them. UNIX has things win95 doesn't have, it has
- things Amiga OS doesn't have. Amiga OS has things Win95 doesn't have and
- Unix doesn't have. But in one thing M$ os-es are unique compared to other
- os-es: They make me laugh!
-
- I take: Multiple screens, all in a different res and a different depth
- I take: Non-isometric Icons (I can have different sizes on Icons)
- I take: a small, fast PMT OS, that can be easily extended.
- I take: Commodities, Datatypes, Arexx
- I take: loads of different shells

- PC stands for Pocket Calculator, IMHO! ;-)

- Of course, but that doesn;t mean they're good. I am running my Amiga OS
- on a 6mb A1200 (That includes Chipmem) and I still have about 5mb of free
- RAM available after booting. I am running about 32 processes in the
- background at that time, including a great bunch of COMMODITIES! I have a
- GUI (The WB) ready for me. It's multitasking smoothly. I can unpack 5 jpeg
- pictures at the same time, run Dopus, format a disk, play a little game on
- my WB. I can extend my OS with almost everything I need. Just hunt down
- AMINET and find the utils/commodities. That's the power of the AMIGA OS.
- It's a bit of a 'bold' OS, which you can extend yourself. And that's what I
- LIKE and that's what I WANT!
- Now, tell me, if I want the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM installation of Win 3.11, Win95
- or whatever peecee OS, how much HD space and RAM do I need (I want about
- 4-5mb of FREE RAM available (no VM!)).
